Windows 10 è in stato di aggiornamento dopo che Microsoft ha attivato il nuovo canale di distribuzione ufficiale sul Windows Update. Coinvolti nel processo di installazione vi sono tutte le revisioni dell’OS a partire dalla versione originale e fino all’ultimo October Update 2018. Windows 10 in aggiornamento: tutte le novità dei changelog
Dopo le anticipazioni per l’arrivo di una nuova versione Windows 10 Lite si parla di aggiornamenti alle attuali Build del sistema operativo Microsoft che ottengono importanti aggiunte e miglioramenti. Si parte dalla versione primordiale.
Aggiornamento Windows 10 prima versione
Windows 10 Original ottiene il supporto del Long-Term Servicing Channel per il patchfix KB4471323che porta la build alla 10240.18063 con le seguenti novità ed un pacchetto zero bug.
- Addresses time zone changes for Russian daylight standard time.
- Addresses time zone changes for Moroccan daylight standard time.
- Addresses an issue that causes the installation and client activation of Windows Server 2019 and 1809 LTSC Key Management Service (KMS) host keys (CSVLK) to not work as expected. For more information about the original feature, see KB4347075.
- Addresses an issue that may prevent the use of the Seek Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files. This issue does not affect normal playback.

Aggiornamento Windows 10 Anniversary Update
L’Anniversary Update, altrimenti conosciuto come versione 1607, ottiene invece il supporto per le sole SKU Education ed Enterprise all’interno del Long-Term Servicing Channel. Nessuna novità per le versioni mobile. Questa revisione ottiene il pacchetto KB4471321, arrivando alla build 14393.2665 con indicazione del bug noto relativo al NET 4.6.

- Addresses an issue that may cause the entire system to become unresponsive when using features related to end-user-defined characters (EUDC).

Aggiornamento Windows 10 Creators Update
La versione 1703 non è più supportata per le SKU consumer, come Home e Pro ma riceve gli update per le SKU Education ed Enterprise, così come su Windows 10 Mobile. Il pacchetto è KB4471327 che introduce la build Windows 15063.1506. con persistenza del bug NET 4.6 e le seguenti novità:

Aggiornamento Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
La Build 1709 riceve invece il KB4471329 con le seguenti aggiunte e l’evidenza del problema sul NET 4.6.

Aggiornamento Windows 10 April 2018 Update
Il penultimo aggiornamento del sistema identificato come 1803 ottiene l’update per il KB4471324 che porta la build alla 17134.471. Stavolta i problemi sono due: il primo al NET 4.6 comune alle altre distribuzioni ed il secondo dovuto alla mancanza di un sistema per l’impostazione del “pin” al link di una pagina Web dal menu Start. Si riportano i seguenti cambiamenti:

- Addresses an issue that may cause some users to see a blue or black screen and receive the error code, “System thread exception not handled.”
- Addresses an issue with Microsoft Intune that causes devices to be incorrectly marked as not compliant because a firewall incorrectly returns a ‘Poor’ status. As a result, the affected devices will not receive conditional access compliance approval and may be blocked from access to corporate resources such as email.
- Addresses an issue that may cause some custom Start menu layouts to display incorrectly.

Aggiornamento Windows 10 October 2018 Update
E chiudiamo quindi con l’ultimo aggiornamento noto come versione 1809 che tramite il pacchetto KB4471332 porta la build alla 17763.194. Il download deve essere fatto manualmente e riporta le seguenti caratteristiche:

- Security updates to Windows Authentication, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Kernel, Microsoft Edge, and Microsoft Scripting Engine.
Si segnalano quindi una lunga serie di aggiornamenti che coinvolgono tutte le versioni del sistema ad eccezione di Windows 10 1511. Per gli smartphone, invece, sono supportate tutte le release a partire dalle 1703. Da qui a fine anno, inoltre, non è previsto alcune Patch Tuesday. Si slitterà ad inizio 2019 dopo le festività natalizie.
